The Toyota Corolla is a long lasting line of city cars manufactured by Toyota from 1966 until now, and has been crowned as the best selling car worldwide ever since 1974, and despite having many rivals, namely the Nissan Sunny and Honda Civic, none has ever really surpassed the feat of what the Corolla has achieved.
Now, the car, worldwide, has exceeded 40 million units sold over the numerous generations, and it's not without good reason.
So, what is the Corolla such a good choice for anybody on the lookout for a car, whether to rent or buy? One reason is that it's incredibly reliable and robust. And with Toyota's punchline being “Have you ever seen a Corolla break down before?”, There's no doubt Toyota is incredibly confident in the reliability department, as the car is built from the ground up to prove that automobiles can be reliable.
Not only that, if a Corolla breaks down, you can put your bet on pretty much any of the local mechanic, just because it's so ridiculously popular, parts are cheap and easy to come by. Therefore, in cases that your Corolla breaks down, you can get it up and running again real fast, which is very important for most people. However, the main tradeoff for all that reliability is it's driving dynamics. Toyota, in order to keep the formula of reliability and simplicity, chooses to fit tried and tested parts into the Corolla to make sure it runs like a clockwork. But it's still the Japanese manufacturer holding back it's cutting-edge technology in order to create a dependable city sedan for the masses, which means that they have been selling cars that are less luxurious when compared to it's rivals.
Despite all of that, most other cars of it's genre can't even come close to its reliability statistics. The Corolla is literally the AK-47 of the cars, reliable but nearly featureless. If you ever want a car that'll wouldn't hold a gripe against you whatever you do to it, look no further to the trusty Toyota Corolla.
After all, have you ever seen a Toyota Corolla break down before?
